MANAGING THE PROCESS

The Project Management of the EDUTRAC SCHOOL SUPPORT AND REMEDIATION PROCESS is the responsibility of THE EDL GROUP.

THE EDL GROUP will install an Edutrac Server on every site to manage the learning process as well as all administration regarding reports, records, results and information. Initially the school will be visited once a week to implement the process of remediation. Thereafter management and overall reports will be generated monthly based on information accessed from a central Netsurit Hub. The EDL Management team will be responsible for Quality Assurance, Project Management, Evaluation and Feedback.

The EDUTRAC SYSTEM will run from the Edutrac Server on the School Computer network disconnected from the internet. To generate reports from the Edutrac Server to the Netsurit Hub the Server will be connected to the internet monthly to retrieve information centrally. This way the School or Educational Institution will also have automatic technical support as long as an internet capability is available to connect to when necessary. The EDL Group will work closely with the teaching staff to support their efforts and address learner difficulties at the same time.

THE EDL GROUP will review and evaluate all School Edutrac results and progress reporting back monthly to the school. At any time teaching staff can access the system and ascertain how particular individuals or groups of learners are progressing if they need to. Learners however can only access their own results.

It is possible on the Management System to review progress based on:
Individual results

Group results

Grade level or Grade results

Results of certain age groups

Results of certain gender groups

In the school situation the Management Data Base in the EDUTRAC SYSTEM provides an interconnected record and report system. This is possible because the technology driven Management System acts as a delivery mechanism for the tests and course content enabling users to access test and courses. To this end the management system draws information for the database content. To track progress the management system writes data back to the database to track progress of any users and stores records and reports pertaining to users.

THE EDUTRAC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM contains all the source codes that enable the functionality of the EDUTRAC SYSTEM active server page which compiles any necessary programming code as it is executed and used.

The Management System retrieves data requested by a user from the database and delivers it by means of a browser (e.g. Internet Explorer). From the browser the user is linked to the course content which is in the form of an HTML or PDF File.

The Management System provides capability for an administrator to regulate the access to any course content.

The Management System then stores data retrieved from user participation and the already mentioned records, reports, files and information. The capability of the Management System takes away many hours of unnecessary paper-work and administration time.
